About Me

I live in a faraway land known variously as the West, the Palouse, the Rocky foot hills, the Idaho/Washington border, the Land of Wheat and Lentils, and who knows what else.  I came here primarily to hang out with bears, and I have not been disappointed in this. I’m working toward an MFA in creative writing at the University of Idaho in Moscow, ID, and I like to use this blog to hash out some of my thoughts on writing, publishing, and literature in general.

Hello, I found one of your pictures on flickr that I’d like to use to illustrate an article I wrote on French food. It’s a picture of “lapin a la moutarde” and it would be an article published on examiner.com. Please let me know if I can use this picture and how you want me to cite it.

    Thanks!

    Virginie

    Welcome to the Palouse!

So this is a funny story. I found your blog because I was looking for good blogs on Paris, you Paris blog showed up and the first post I read said you were moving to Northern Idaho? And I’M in Northern Idaho.

When you say Northern Idaho you’re basically saying Moscow since there’s really not much else going around up here.

So, anyway, small world. You’re at UI MFA program and I know a TON of people who recently graduated or are still plugging through. Know Brit Carman? She works at the MFA office. Next time you see her tell her Nat The Rat said hi and see what happens.

Anyway, I hope you love it here. We moved here from NYC and once I got over the initial culture shock I fell head over heels in love with this funny place.
